The PMC 8-2 Subwoofer is a full-bandwidth, reference-grade active subwoofer designed for the most demanding professional studio, broadcast, and immersive audio environments. Engineered to deliver deeper extension and higher output than the PMC8 SUB, it provides powerful, ultra-controlled low-frequency reproduction down to 25Hz, making it ideal for high-resolution monitoring systems. Equipped with twin 8-inch bass drivers powered by dual 400W high-efficiency Class-D amplifiers, the 8-2 SUB delivers exceptional dynamic range, accuracy, and headroom. PMC’s proprietary Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) bass-loading technology ensures tight, distortion-free bass with outstanding transient response. Built on PMC’s proven DSP platform, the 8-2 Subwoofer offers extensive system tuning via rear-panel controls or LAN-based SoundAlign™ software, including crossover filters, EQ, delay, phase alignment, and protection. With analog and AES3 digital I/O, it integrates seamlessly into stereo, surround, and immersive audio systems. Available in left- or right-handed cabinet versions, the PMC 8-2 SUB can operate as a standalone subwoofer or as an Extended Bass Delivery (XBD) module when paired with PMC 6-2 or 8-2 monitors for maximum system performance.
